Abstract
Schools as places where the teaching and learning process occurs has changed with the emergence of online learning. Interactions that previously occurred directly in ordinary classrooms turned into virtual classrooms by utilizing various learning applications. The ability of teachers and students to master the use of these applications greatly determines the success of the teaching and learning process like interactions in conventional classrooms. This type of research is qualitative research that aims to describe the situation of teachers in implementing online learning during the pandemic period in Aceh. The samples taken were 75 high school teachers in Aceh Besar. This study discusses mastery of online learning applications for teachers and the obstacles faced by teachers in accessing online learning applications. A number of obstacles seem simple, but if the government does not resolve them immediately, other worrying problems will arise in the future. The emergence of virtual classrooms will also change the pattern of schools that have been known so far, many school buildings are increasingly not important to care for considering students no longer come directly to school, so that teachers must really become facilitators in good virtual classrooms who are able to provide teaching as capital that is meaningful for their future.
