Abstract
A learning said successfull if the goal achieved and it’s seen from the final results obtained by students. This study detect about effect of the metaphorming model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students at MTs Ulumul Quran, Banda Aceh. The concept of quadratic function is taught by using a metaphorming model. Posttest understanding of mathematical concepts analyzed by Independent Sample T-Test. The test results obtained a significant value = 0.037 < 0.05 which requires H0 to be rejected. The conclution that the metaphorming model has an influence on understanding mathematical concepts. Therefore, the metaphorming model is very suitable to be used in the teaching and learning process.
