Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The Copyright Transfer Form was filled and signed by author/authors. The Copyright Transfer Form is submitted as a PDF or JPEG file format.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

  1. Pencerahan publishes education substanced article which could be as a concept of thought, study results and research results that can contribute to the understanding, development, and the application of education in Indonesia and developing countries.
  2. The submitted article must be original, has never been published and is free from plagiarism (similarity is less than 10%). Articles that have been presented in a forum, such as a seminar, must be mentioned.
  3. Articles written between 10-15 pages, Letter size paper, typed one space using the Microsoft Word program, and type Book Antiqua font size 12.
  4. Articles are written with the following systematic and provisions:
    • Title: concise, 12 words maximum, and must reflect the educational substance described in the article text;
    • Author's name: written without a title, located under the title; writers can be individuals or teams and all writers are listed;
    • Author's Institution: written the name of the institution where the author is work, located under the author's name;
    • Abstract: written in English with a length ranging from 120-150 words in one paragraph. The abstract of the study and research article contains the objectives, research methods, and research results;
    • Keywords: filled words or terms that reflect the essence of the concept in the scope of the problem, can consist of several words / terms and contained in the abstract. Keywords written under abstract and italicize;
    • Article manuscripts: (i) Review articles and thought concepts consist of introduction containing the problem and mindset of funds or analytical framework, sub-subtitles discussed, and concluding, (ii) Article results of the research consist of an introduction containing the background of the problem including the objectives , research methods, research results and discussion, and conclusions. How to refer to the author in the article text must specify the author's last name, year, and page. Example: (Tabrani, 2016: 53), or Tabrani (2016; 53). Under the conclusions stated;
    • Reference: only lists sources indicated in the article text. Preferably, the names referenced in the text must dictated in reference list. Reference writing must consistently follow the APA Style (from the book): author's name (if more than one word, last name used as an entry), year, title of the book (in italics), city of publisher, and publisher. For references from books / internet articles. Journal references: journal name (in italics), page. For references sourced from the internet plus a website and download date. The references referenced are prioritized from the primary literature (journals and research reports) are current and do not constitute your own writing.
  5. Articles that enter the editorial desk are selected by the editorial team and followed by an assessment by the reviewer. Articles can be accepted without repairs, received with corrections, or rejected. The entire process of submitting, evaluating, editorials of the article is done online through the Pencerahan website http://jurnalpencerahan.org
  1. Pencerahan menerbitkan artikel yang bersubstansikan pendidikan baik berupa konsep pemikiran, hasil kajian, maupun hasil penelitian yang dapat memberi konstribusi pada pemahaman, pengembangan, dan penerapan pendidikan di Indonesia dan negara-negara sedang berkembang.
  2. Artikel yang diajukan harus asli, belum pernah dipublikasikan dan bebas dari unsur plagiasi (similaritas kurang dari 10%). Artikel yang pernah disajikan dalam suatu forum, misalnya seminar, harus disebutkan forumnya.
  3. Penulisan naskah antara 10-15 halaman, kertas ukuran Letter, diketik satu spasi, program Microsoft Word, tipe huruf Book Antiqua, font size 12.
  4. Artikel ditulis dengan sistematika dan ketentuan sebagai berikut:
    • Judul: ditulis dengan singkat padat, maksimum 12 kata, dan harus mencerminkan substansi pendidikan yang diuraikan pada batang tubuh artikel;
    • Nama Penulis: ditulis tanpa gelar, letaknya di bawah judul; penulis dapat individu atau tim dan semua penulis dicantumkan;
    • Instansi Penulis: ditulis nama instansi tempat penulis berasal, letaknya di bawah nama penulis;
    • Abstrak: ditulis dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan panjang berkisar antara 120-150 kata dalam satu alinea. Abstrak artikel kajian dan penelitian berisi memuat tujuan, metode penelitian, dan hasil penelitian;
    • Kata Kunci: diisi kata atau istilah yang mencerminkan esensi konsep dalam cakupan permasalahan, dapat terdiri dari beberapa buah kata/istilah dan terdapat dalam abstrak. Kata kunci ditulis di bawah abstrak dicetak miring;
    • Batang Tubuh Artikel: (i) Artikel kajian dan konsep pemikiran terdiri atas pendahuluan yang berisi permasalahan dan kerangka pikir dana atau kerangka analisis, sub-subjudul yang pembahasan, dan penutup, (ii) Artikel hasil penelitian terdiri atas pendahuluan yang memuat latar belakang permasalahan termasuk tujuan, metode penelitian, hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, serta kesimpulan. Cara merujuk pengarang didalam batang tubuh artikel harus menyebutkan nama belakang pengarang, tahun, dan halaman. Contoh: (Tabrani, 2016:53), atau Tabrani (2016;53). Dibawah kesimpulan dicantumkan;
    • Referensi: hanya mencantumkan sumber-sumber yang ditunjuk di dalam batang tubuh artikel. Sebaiknya, nama-nama dirujuk dalam batang tubuh harus ada daftar pustakanya. Penulisan referensi harus konsisten mengikuti APA Style (dari buku): nama pengarang (jika lebih dari satu kata, nama belakang yang dijadikan entri), tahun, judul buku (cetak miring), kota penerbit, dan penerbit. Untuk rujukan dari buku/artikel internet. Referensi dari jurnal: nama jurnal (cetak miring), halaman. Untuk rujukan yang bersumber dari internet ditambah situs web dan tanggal mengunduh. Referensi yang dirujuk diutamakan dari pustaka primer (jurnal dan laporan hasil penelitian) mutakhir dan bukan merupakan tulisan sendiri.
  5. Artikel yang masuk ke meja redaksi diseleksi oleh tim penyunting dan dilanjutkan dengan penilaian oleh reviewer. Artikel dapat diterima tanpa perbaikan, diterima dengan perbaikan, atau ditolak. Seluruh proses pengajuan, penilaian, editorial artikel dilakukan online melalui pada website Pencerahan http://jurnalpencerahan.org

Log Files

Pencerahan follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
