Abstract
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memperjelas makna Konstruktivisme dan implikasinya dalam perancangan dan pembelajaran. Aliran pembelajaran Konstruktivisme merupakan penguatan dan penyempurnaan aliran-aliran pembelajaran sebelumnya seperti Kognitivisme dan Behaviorisme. Yang paling penting menurut falsafah pembelajaran Konstruktivisme adalah proses pembelajaran dapat memfasilitasi konstruksi pengetahuan oleh pelajar sendiri. Dalam proses pembelajaran, antara lain, inquiry, cooperative, collaborative, pengaitan pembelajaran dengan alam nyata (real world) dan pertimbangan pengetahuan awal (prior knowledge) siswa sangat penting diperhatikan guru. Konstruktivisme menuai kritikan terutama dari kalangan praktisi pendidikan. Bagaimanapun, Konstruktivisme merupakan aliran pembelajaran terkini yang direkomendasikan psikolog pendidikan.
